Having purchased a small cottage on a beautiful level lot a few years back, this couple wanted to expand their living space, add bedrooms for a growing family and make it friendlier for their weekend guests. The footprint was expanded 500 sq feet on each floor, allowing for a large living room / family room, two new guestrooms and a master bedroom with bath on the second floor.

The cottage never had a fireplace so one was added in the new living room. The roof was replaced, the old painted shingles were removed and new clear cedar shingles were installed throughout, giving the house the true Hamptons feel the owner always loved. The exterior was finished off with a rocking chair porch and an expansive pergola between the house and the pool.

The result; a great country house the owners can enjoy with family and friends for years to come.
