Can05D_03_1662This house, designed by the architect Vuko Tashkovich, is a classic example of modern architecture from the 1970’s. Our client, who had just purchased the house, wanted to stay true to the original architecture and design. Working closely with their designer, a kitchen remodel was crafted to mimic the style and intent of the architect.

We hand built maple cabinets covered in white Formica. A freezer drawer is neatly tucked away and out of view. Lot’s of drawers and pullouts completed the kitchen remodel. Colored sliding panels on top of the bow front side peninsula makes for great storage. Yellow and white bottle cap ceramic tile adds interest and color to the backsplash and carries over to the curved built-in seating under the kitchen’s convex bent windows.

A new island peninsula makes the kitchen a great place for the family to gather, cook and eat.
